Ranking the Best and Worst Cities to Raise a Family

Raising children is a challenge regardless of where you live. However, some cities help make raising a family much easier on the mind, body, and wallet!

A study from WalletHub compared cities based on factors like Health, Safety, Education, Child Care, Affordability, and Family Fun. Here’s what they found:

  4. Plano, Texas
  5. South Burlington, Vermont
  6. Bismarck, North Dakota
  7. Gilbert, Arizona

  10. Boise, Idaho

Only one city from the south makes WalletHub’s top 10. More surprisingly, not a single city on the East Coast makes their top 10. Overland Park, Kansas takes the top spot. Never heard of it? You’re not alone. Overland Park is a suburb of Kansas City. It ranks highest when it comes to affordability. It also performed very well in terms of health, safety, and education.
